The aim of the Association is to promote the well-being of the industry and its members, strengthening the relationship between the BDA members and the general public.

To this end, the following charter outlines what the general public can expect from a BDA member.

.) A job undertaken by a BDA member will be a sufficiently high standard, both in thoroughness and neatness  to make a good and lasting job.

.) Each job undertaken is to be completed with the highest quality materials available, within the given budget.

.) A BDA member will  always offer expert advice and recommendations before any work is undertaken or materials bought.

.) A BDA member is expected to remain polite and courteous at all times, ensuring a good working relationship between themselves and the client.

.) Whether quoted on a day work basis or finished work job basis, the final price quoted by a BDA member, will be the final price to pay. The cost of any extra work must be agreed with the client before commencement.

.) Any quote given will be fair, reasonable and competitive, both to client  and BDA member.

.) Throughout the duration of  a job, a BDA member will endeavour to keep the job site as clean and as tidy as possible, leaving the site in a reasonable condition after each days work.

.) A BDA  member will do everything in his power to keep inconvenience to the client at an absolute minimum throughout the job duration.

.) Throughout the undertaking of a job, the BDA member will keep the client involved as much as possible to ensure open communications on a day to day basis.
